DAY 01 : ARRIVAL NJP RAILWAY STATION / (IXB) BAGDOGRA AIRPORT - GANGTOK
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, (413 Ft / 126 Mts) will be met by our office Executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650 Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs). Check in and overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 02: GANGTOK –TSHANGU LAKE & BABA MANDIR EXCURSION
After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way from Gangtok) & Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake. Situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Hotel. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided)
OPTIONAL NATHULA
One can opt for Nathula Excursion by paying a supplement cost which varies from month to month. Organising the permit at the last moment is not possible & a clear window of 72 Hrs with proper documents is required to process the permit. Nathula permit gets confirmed a day prior OR on the day of journey (depending on the working of the permit issuing office) & it is subjected to permit availability as it is allotted as per turn. At times the demend for Nathula permit goes to 700 vehicle where as the permit issued is only 60 for civil & 40 for government. Nathula is closed on Monday & Tuesday for tourist.
Nathula(14140 Ft / 4310 Mts / 20 Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) is an Indo China border, controlled by the Indian Army & is situated approx 20 Kms ahead of Tshangu Lake at an height of 14140 Ft / 4310. The journey to Nathula & Baba Mandir is same up to 16 Kms. At this point the right arm of the “V” which is 4 Kms takes one to Baba Mandir & left arm of the “V” which is 4 Kms takes one to Nathula. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 03: GANGTOK – LACHEN (122 KMS / 6 HRS)
After breakfast pick up from hotel & transfer to Lachen (9,800 ft.). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall, and arrive Lachen by evening. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay at Lachen.
DAY 04: LACHEN – CHOPTA VALLEY – GURUDONGMAR LAKE – LACHUNG
Early Morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,200 ft.) & Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 ft.). Back to hotel & after lunch transfer to Lachung (8,800 ft). Arrive Lachung by evening. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay at Lachung.
DAY 05: LACHUNG – YUMTHANG VALLEY EXCURSION – ZERO POINT – GANGTOK (116 KMS / 6 HRS)
After breakfast proceed to Yumthang Valley (11,800 ft. Known as Valley of Flowers). Travel Beyond to Zero Point. On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Return to hotel for lunch. Later drive to Gangtok. Upon reaching Gangtok check in at hotel. Overnight at Gangtok.
DAY 06: GANGTOK – PELLING
Morning Go for a half day (04 hrs) sightseeing covering Jhakri Water Falls along with Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sunday), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Sunday) and Flower Show. Afternoon transfer to Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts,116 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs). Overnight stay at Pelling.
DAY 07: PELLING – YUKSOM EXCUSRION
After breakfast we drive to Yuksom (5840 Ft / 1780 Mts, 35 Kms / 02 Hrs) on way panoramic sightseeing of Darap Village, Rimbi Water fall & Hydro Project, Khecheopalri Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts)it is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird & Kanchanjunga Water fall. A further drive takes you to Yuksom (the meeting place of three monks) - the first capital of Sikkim. This was the place where the first Chogyal (a ruling dynasty in Sikkim)was crowned. Evening back to Pelling and Overnight stay at Pelling.
DAY 08: PELLING - DARJEELING
Today after Breakfast proceed towards Darjeeling rest of the day for leisure Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
DAY 9: DARJEELING
Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts at around 4 AM) to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast go for a half-day sight seeing of Japanese Temple, Peace pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway Ride (Ticket cost not included & will be approx INR 180.00 per person) Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & panoramic view of Tea Estate. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
DAY 10: DARJEELING - NJP RAILWAY / IXB AIRPORT
After breakfast proceed to NJP Railway Station / (IXB) Bagdogra Airport (413 Ft / 126 Mts, 100 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs) for your onward journey t the home town tour ends with lifetime memories.
